Are there tutorials for Exporting to Unreal?
I only have created the tutorials for exporting Quake 3 models from Lightwave. However, I hope to create more tutorials so check back occasionally to see what's new.

Are there MPEG or AVI versions of the tutorials?
No. At this time I have not posted AVI or Mpeg versions of the tutorials because of the amount of space needed for such large files.

Where/What is Modelview Config?
In the end of the second tutorial I mention using Modelview Config. Modelview is a cfg file that you need to save to your baseq3 directory. Download Modelview.cfg, additional information can be found here.

Once you have modelview.cfg saved in your baseq3 directory start up Quake3.
- Press ~ for console.
- Type /devmap <mapname> (ie. /devmap q3ctf1)
- Type /exec modelview.cfg
- Now if you hit 5 on your numeric pad your should see your model from 3d person view. Use the other numeric pad numbers to rotate around your model.

Do I add the Messiah displacement plug-in before the Md3 plug-in?
Yes, the Messiah displacer has to come before the md3 export plug in the displacement list.

What programs did you use to create the tutorials?
I used Camtasia by Techsmith Corporation. I then did my post production in Adobe Premiere however you can use a editing program that comes with Camtasia if you want. Then I used Real Producer Basic and the Windows Media Encoder to create the streaming files.

Will the tutorials run on a modem connection slower then 56k?
Yes! The tutorial will run fine at any connection. However, the tutorials might take a little longer to Buffer. Basically, slower modems need to download more information before it will start playing. I have personally watched the movie on a 24k connection
.

Are there any text version of the tutorial?
No. Currently there are only the video version of the tutorials. However, a condensed version of the tutorial is in process and it will be available soon.

Are there any LWS files for animation reference that I can download?
Not yet. I am currently trying to get the fully animated version of my tutorial character animated and then I will post the LWO and LWS file online.
If you don't want to wait you can use Michael Bristol's MD3 import plug-in to import existing Quake Characters into you Lightwave scene. This plug-in should be included with the exporter plug-in.
